Copywriting and Content
Writing
During my time as a Communications Intern with Accent Creative Group, I gained hands-on experience in copywriting, writing for web and social media, and creating editorial content for both in-house and client publications like visitor guides, articles, and magazines.
In my work with blogs and web writing, I collaborated closely with clients like Visit Statesboro, Visit Johns Creek and others. I wrote content that highlighted upcoming city events, key historical landmarks, monuments, outdoor spaces, downtown development and local businesses. I gained experience in SEO optimization and writing content for web pages designed to increase traffic and link back to our clients' pages. Communication was the key tool in sharing these places’ backgrounds while inviting people to experience them firsthand.
Below are links to blog and web content I’ve developed for clients. Feel free to take a look!
Editorial Work
One of my favorite projects during my internship was working on Accent Creative Group’s in-house publication, The DiG. A bi-monthly print and digital publication, The DiG focused on events, community news, and lifestyle content in Gwinnett County. Distributed widely across the county, The DiG reached a broad audience through direct mail and over 500 locations, including local events, libraries, government and medical offices, restaurants and more. The publication was divided into several sections, including local news, a city spotlight that featured a different city in each issue, arts, culinary news, culture, and more.
The DiG offered a great opportunity to showcase the local developments in Gwinnett County while working closely with local businesses and community members. It was both a creative and rewarding experience to share the stories that were shaping the area. As my time at ACG progressed, my role with The DiG expanded to include helping with editorial themes and layouts, developing article ideas, brainstorming story themes, and identifying local businesses to feature.

The Dig Mar/Apr 2024 Issue
For this pet-friendly issue, I contributed features on local pet-friendly businesses and coverage of new businesses and developments for the Buford City Spotlight. My work articles can be found on pages 6, 8-9, 10, 16, 19 and 22.
The DiG May/Jun 2024 Issue
In this issue, I had the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities in editorial planning and brainstorming feature ideas for various pages. I researched and reached out to small businesses in Lawrenceville to feature in the issue, while also gathering information on upcoming community events, openings and developments to include. My contributions can be found on pages 8-9, 20 and 24.

The DiG July/Aug 2024 Issue
For the July/August issue of The DiG, I played a key role in developing the issue’s theme, coordinating with local businesses, and planning article content. I also contributed to several sections, including pages 8-9, 10, 16 and 20.
This Is Braselton
One of my final contributions during my time at ACG was to the This is Braselton 2025 Town Guide, a comprehensive, magazine-style publication that served as an in-depth resource on community events, notable people and important places in Braselton. I focused primarily on the city’s major annual events, such as the Chocolate Walk, Wine Walk, and Wine Hop. I conducted interviews with business owners and event organizers to highlight the planning, funding and impact of these beloved local events. My contributions can be found on pages 21, 22-23, 24 and 28-31.
During my time working on these features, I discovered how writing can be a powerful tool for connecting people to the stories of their community. In each interview, it was clear how the city eagerly awaits these events year after year. I was able to highlight the importance and impact of these events while telling stories that captured the charm and essence of the local community.
